Seclusion
I am me and not you
My life is my own
My body out of reach
Stay out of my zone
I am not your property
Even though you’re hopeful
I need to sequester myself
I fear I will be woeful
Even if I just take a snooze
It will be for the shortest time
If you look at the percentage
It is not out of line
Such a small part of my day
To take for myself
Please just imagine me
As if I’m on a shelf
I’m so weary from challenges
Peace and quiet is what I yearn
Let me rest alone
I promise you I will not spurn
Sometimes I give too much
You become complacent
A little time for myself
And you become impatient

Thanks Gina. It is so important to find time for yourself even for just a short time. We all need to decompress 🙂💕
