Crimson Roses

Crimson Roses

Deep crimson roses
begin to curl and dry
life slowly drains
from their dying stems
with a final sigh

Flowers of love
in ribbons of ivory silk
Clutched tightly
Dreaming of eternity
Living on honey and milk

A symbol of hope
Sonnets of love spoken
Honoring a relationship
A commitment made and
a bond never to be broken

  1. this gorgeous Christine, like the soft velvety petals of the rose, it has a sweet fragrance as the lines unfold, i feel a deep abiding love for something sacred.
