Compassion

Compassion

A word proof
of love so deep
that one would scale
a mountain steep
Love of oneself
laid aside
two become one
impossible to divide

Bleeding love
Easing another’s pain
Tireless, fearless
Impossible to feign
Shouldering a load
and releasing resentments
Feelings harbored
Reaffirming commitments

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine
