Fine Wine – A Quadrille

Fine Wine

Rich dark soil
of the rolling hills
gave birth to ancient vines
Blessed by priests in spring
for a bountiful
harvest time

Forever at the mercy
of fickle elements
Let us pray for clusters
of plump fruit
For the making of
our fine wine

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

  1. You’ve captured the rich earthiness of soil and wine in this quadrille, Christine, and painted a lovely landscape too.
