Who Are You?

Who Are You?

What happened to you?
Spouting allegations
I recognize you no more
You are a strange aberration
Like a two headed monster
With whom am I dealing
An anomaly of a man
Who can leave me reeling

Unable to collect myself
when you turn on a dime
My feelings muddled
Being slow is now a crime
Confidence has been lost
I bounce off your arrogance
Spinning and confused
I doubt my relevance

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

    1. Why and how does that happen V.J.? An intelligent woman can be reduced to a heap of blubbering fool 😏

      1. Seventeen years I lived it. Only in hindsight do I see what happened. I think my parents’ relationship set me up for it. Heart and mind are separate entities.

      2. I’m sorry. You are right about our parent’s relationship. That is who we learn from 😔
