The sky freckled with tangerine clouds The sun’s last breath of the day The water glittered with diamonds and shadows grew long as the evening turned grey Through the looking glass of twilight astral forms came into view and under the stars we lay
I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose.
Thanks for checking it out.

I wanted to come back to this lovely Quadrille again Christine. As stated above, I agree with Dr Grimes about the title giving such a critical added dimension to this poem. I have been thinking about how the world touches us, the light and the winds as they impact our senses and gets transduced into neural energy, until it gets transformed, as you say, transferred, into our brain becoming us. How sweet is it that the miracles of our senses is not just for jumping a little faster to catch our next meal or to ward off danger, but to become aware, in a sense, of our unity with the world, that it has entered into us, and has become us. Your poem cascades this all out so nicely with the colors of the sky, the feel of the wind, and then finally where we lie under the stars, all of it enveloped in there, and then written and posted by you… and transferred to us.
So nice, that with our mind and with our heart,
we can be a corner of the color wheel
aware of itself, if not in whole,
than at least joyfully in part.
Thank you so much Lona. How beautifully you put it! I agree with you. I have never felt so connected to nature as I have in recent years. I seem to find all the answers there 🙂❤️ We are part of something so much bigger than we are.

That’s a wonderful perspective on freckle-ness Christine. I had a night sky freckled with stars. This made for engaging reading.
