Destination Unknown

Destination Unknown

The road seems less clear
when standing so far away
Daunting and dark
thick with fog
but what does it portray?

Fear of the unknown
Darkness and mystery
Yet a road going forward
Not a path back
into history

The journey is the prize
Taking the first step brave
Travelling unburdened
Leaving anxiety behind
Refusing be its slave

No mountains to climb
Or rocks to chip away
Pathway uncluttered
Misty and unknowing
Your future’s causeway

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

    1. Thanks Sue 🙂 Yes we have to keep telling ourselves that or else we will get off track 💕

  1. Excellent. “Fog’ in seeing the future often holds a person back; I guess they don’t understand, if there were no ‘fog’ … it would be called the ‘present’?
