A Fleeting Moment

A Fleeting Moment

You touched my life
with a stroke of a feather
A fleeting moment
in the moon shadow
that excited and tantalized
Luring me to you
like a moth to the flame
Singeing wings
burning desire
Now all that remains
is a feeling
A sensation that still tingles
A scratch
you can barely see

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

    1. Thank you! It’s like those very special moments that you want to hang onto but memories fade like scars
