Bitter-Sweet

Bitter thoughts
and sour words
evoking intense reaction
A tongue lashing
hurling insults
Intimidating exaction
 
A spoonful of sugar
to sweeten the tart
and acidulous vocabulary
Sugar rushing to the head
Calming the anxious
with honeyed confectionery
