Keep on Dancing – A Quadrille

Keep on Dancing

Balanced and on an even keel
Confidence returned once more
She possessed unmistakable duende
as she danced powerfully across the floor

The volume of the music
was turned way up high
It was impossible to keep her still
Her only limit was the sky

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

    1. Thank you Sadje. It reminded me of that movie. I can’t remember the name but I think Irene Cara was the dancer.

  1. I like the steady rhythm and rhymes in your quadrille, Christine, and the image you paint of someone completely lost in the music. That’s two quadrilles about dancing in a row!
