I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose.
Thanks for checking it out.

There have been so many of these beauties and their mates at the feeder lately. I wondered what they were saying 🙂
Loved this photo and your wonderful poem. While we are in self-isolation on our country property we enjoy our winged visitors who are oblivious to what is going on in the human world. Although we could do with less screeching cockatoos in large numbers which seen to greet the dawn and twilight hours!
Thank you so much. What a lovely image you gave me. I used to own a cockatoo some years ago. He could certainly screech! Yes we are in isolation too but not as remote as you. We keep our distance and wear masks and gloves if we have to go to the grocery store. Please take care of yourself and stay safe
We also owned a cockatoo when I was a young girl. He came with the house we bought. He sang church hymns and never swore!
Yes, we are in Level 3 restrictions – basically stay home unless it is essential. So blessed to live in a beautiful place in the country. Wet day today so maybe a good day to play around with my photos and write a blog. Take care!
Yes we too have the same restrictions. We just wander to the store every now and again for necessary items and then amuse ourselves at home, reading, writing and doing stuff around the house that makes us happy. We have adapted well as have you I see 🙂🥰 PS our cockatoo was obnoxious! He hated my son and would start a war dance with feathers up on end and he would bow and strut around like there was no tomorrow! He would do this every time my son came home and if he was out of the cage he would fly across the room and peck at his feet! He was nicknamed Indian (Indy) after that!
Stay safe ☺️
That Cocky sounds like one feral bird Christine! You stay safe too. Self-isolation is a good idea today because the weather is wild with wind and lashing rain!
Thanks Gina. Yes, they are vivid against the snow in wintertime that’s why they are known as a Christmas bird here. I read that the sightings of cardinals can bring luck 🙂
Yes Sherry they are magnificent. You have to stop and watch them as they are so pretty. Obviously the male is the most handsome because he is bright red. The females have a little more brown in the plumage. 🙂

love the contrast of red on white and harbingers of a message, that really emphasises their boldness
