Close the Door – A Quadrille

Close the Door

As the day ends
It is time to reflect
on events that were
less than perfect

Annoyances, delays
that did gnaw, irritate
To be tossed away
for it’s time to celebrate

Door closed
a day to forget
My glass is full
Wine’s my outlet

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

    1. Oh I found this in Spam too! I hope approving it will keep you out of there! I seem to be drinking a lot of wine lately. Don’t have to drive anywhere! Thanks for stopping by. Cheers 🙂

  1. Well…..late to the reading and it’s early morning here so I shall meet your toast with my coffee cup! 🙂 BUT if it were after 5 PM, trust me, I’d be clinking your wine glass with mine! 🙂 Stay safe.
