Just Plain Silly





I can no longer
cut through
your noise
Tired
of trying
Exhausted 
from effort
Frustrated 
from failing
This is just silly
 
Time
to terminate 
and leave behind
the fruitless
failures
of this
Herculean task
so it may
cease to be
and rest in peace

    I like the use of alliteration to make the point, Christine: ‘tired of trying’. ‘frustrated from failing’, ‘time to terminate and ‘fruitless failures’ to name a few.  It is a Herculean task, but a relief when it’s done.

    Ah yes…..sometimes it is so hard to quit the trying, realizing “this is just plain silly.”
