I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose.
Thanks for checking it out.

Powerful write that really delivers for me Christine. I found the last stanza especially strong with the idea of the rainbow’s transitory colours son running away into a watery grave… Lovely writing and conjured image…
Dark clouds of discontent! Great poem

Ominous The knowing is almost as traumatic as the event. The rainbow is a temporary respite, but perhaps it lends strength.

This is so evocative! Especially like; “A rainbow will appear only to show its bright colors for an instant before they run into a watery grave.” 💝💝

Sounds like a tumultuous situation, hopefully one to be avoided. The imagery worked very well for the contrasts of emotions and environments.
