Inglenook

White breath
in cold air
Rosy cheeks
glowing in firelight
as it dances
in soulful eyes
Closeness
warms the spirit
as joyful conversation
is fluid and flowing
Intimate moments
that have given life
to memories never
to be forgotten
living in the heart forever

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

  1. I really enjoyed all of your references to the body. They give them poem a body of its own – I actually reread it to make sure that I didn’t miss any of your references 🙂
