Is The Glass Half Full?

As night drops it’s blanket
on a day of shattered dreams
I welcome the darkness
Cocooned in its warmth
Reflecting on the spectacular
hopelessness of an existence
gone awry
My hiraeth is consuming
I long for what will never be again
and come to the realization
that if I did not have bad luck
I would have no luck at all
