Dancing on Paper – A Quadrille

Dancing on Paper

Eyes closed, my mind wanders
I summon my muse
who takes me through fields
of gold in late summer
Thoughts come quickly,
conjuring the words I need
they spill easily from my mind
My pen pirouettes
across the paper
and my poem is born

  1. Lovely. I especially like those closing lines: “My pen pirouettes/across the paper/and my poem is born”. Lovely imagery.

    1. Thank you Lynn. I know, I always use my computer but there’s something special about writing in a notebook ☺️💕

      1. Sitting in a coffee shop and watching the passing parade provides fodder for our creative minds so having a notebook at hand is always a must. Have a great weekend.
