I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine View more posts

Oooh, what an intriguing image! Just out of curiosity, what was your inspiration for it?

Actually Joyce it was that image. I was walking my dog and she pulled on the leash towards something I hadn’t noticed in the grass. The next thing she was leaping in the air and something big and blackish flipped in front of me and slithered down the bank of the lake and splashed in. It was a big Water Moccasin 😧 My dog must have stuck her nose in the coil and scared them both to death! Lucky she never git bit. I am really careful when i walk around the lake now 🥵
