Unhealthy

Unhealthy

Would that those spiteful words
Be unsaid
So my cracked heart
stings no more
Had I not seen you
then surely my happiness
would still be in tact
Our love song was unsung
I accepted the ending
and have only myself to blame
That ship had sailed
You had slipped from sight
beneath the waves
of life’s disorder
and I pulled you back
to the surface
Can a sight be unseen?
Can words ever be unheard?

  1. Really loved this! I think the answer to the questions in your last lines is – “not unless you have that thingy like they had in Men In Black – you know the flasher thing” LOL 😊🌹💕

  2. Oh my heart this is so poignant! I love the progression of this poem from “Our love song was unsung,” to “Can words ever be unheard?” .. the memories are always bittersweet aren’t they? 💘
