Changing Lanes

As surely as the earth turns
So will we
Bending with the winds of change
Navigating change
Resisting change
Change is constant
We welcome it or fear it
But we cannot stop it

We come to the crossroads
And there is no turning back
Our history is already made
We must move
Towards the change
Sometimes it is good
Changing perspectives
Other times, challenging

We fear things
Beyond our control
Our protests falling by the wayside
Our voices unheard
We must ride it out
Trusting that all things shall pass
And the knowing for certainty
Change is inevitable

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine
