Foul Frog – A True Story

Foul Frog – Quadrille

A frog in my mailbox
Every day I looked
Funny I thought
But never spooked

Once picking up mail
He was still in residence
Something wet on my hand
My negligence

Brown and slimy
Smelling as I walked away
Oh yuckety yuck
Disgusting bouquet!

    1. It really is true. What an idiot I was smelling my hand! I should have known better seeing as he was living in there 🤣

      1. They have ways of crawling in anyhwhere. Living in Florida we have quite a few. I have another middle of the night horror story with a frog. I’ll save it for another poety challenge! LOL!

  1. Funny…I just realized the climbing capabilities of frogs when I saw one at work las week sticking to our brick building. Strange! I had no idea they could do that. I liked your stinky frog quadrille!

  2. Your frog in the mailbox made me laugh, Christine! We used to get frogs and newts in our utility room. They sneaked in the back door and we’d find them in corners, hiding from the cats. My husband couldn’t bear them but I quite like them – not smelly ones, though. 😉
