Eviction

Eviction

My world once full of color

Is now monochrome

There is a chill in the air

Where sunshine once lived

In the place we called home

Your voice lingering still

In the empty rooms

Memories from the past

Evicted so cruelly

Now living in tombs

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

    1. Thanks Gina. I always think that in a break up, the one who is left is the one who holds on to the memories. The other just forgets 😢

      1. they choose to forget. being a keeper of memories doesn’t work when you have no one to share it with. that’s how i feel some days

      2. Yes, Gina. I’m so thankful that I can put it in words in this way. Keeping these thoughts to yourself is not healthy
