Infatuated

Infatuated

What happened last night

I must have been moonstruck

I felt so giddy

My head was dizzy

Was it just good luck?

I met you for the first time

And something just clicked

I released my fears

And shed no tears

It was as if you were handpicked

My excitement I could barely contain

I wanted to broadcast from rooftops

To the entire population

But out came only a murmuration

I might be just a little insane

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine
