Starting Over

Starting Over

Emptying my mind
From the clutter collected
Emotionally draining
Completely dejected

Discarding old habits
The new broom sweeps clean
Dismissing all negative views
Positive thoughts are all I will glean

The breaking of a new dawn
Bringing inspiration for another day
Dreams of wishing and hoping
Open to receive come what may

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine
