Relaxation – A Quadrille

Relaxation

Steep the fragrant blossoms
In oil
and pluck the grapes
from the vine
Slice the ripe oranges
And sweeten the wine

Draw a bath
of fresh scented roses
and recline
in its relaxant power
Lie back closing your eyes
and envisage
the Lotus flower

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

  1. Alright! I just found my new shopping list! Sign me up! (love the gentle rhymes, the foundational vine and wine… anchored by the unexpected recline. That took my brain in its hands and clicked with a snappy “FWONK” that felt so satisfying and lovely. really great Christine. 😉
