Off Balance

Off Balance

Walking the tightrope
that is your life story
Struggling to balance
complications
Held in self-serving glory

Juggling emotions
Keeping the peace
Wondering which will fit
the revolving scenarios
that never seem to cease

Striving for symmetry
I soften the jagged pieces
Where there is no color
I paint it black
and iron out the creases

Equilibrium is missing
and ignorance not optional
Searching for elusive solutions
If only I could steady myself
The feeling might be rational

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine
