One Liner Wednesday

Ever had one of those days where no matter how hard you tried it felt like you were going nowhere? One step forward and two steps back? This Far Side Cartoon reminded of when I needed “shepherding”

Have a great Wednesday!

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

    1. Yes, I used to know someone who had a border collie and the dog always had to round us up when we went to get in the car. We had to stand their while he ran around us and the car for 3 or 4 rotations! It was hysterical 🤣

      1. I think they’re a little hard to keep as pets because it’s their nature to herd, and if there aren’t sheep to herd they’ll find something else to herd, such as children. Wonderful dogs… there’s a guy in Indiana, Pennsylvania who raises them and brings them to Highland Games to demonstrate their ability. I’m sure some of it is his training, but you can tell that the dogs were born to do it. We were in England a few years ago, and they were running sheepdog competitions on the BBC. It’s interesting to watch them.

      2. Yes this is true John….the dog that used to “Round us up” had never herded sheep. It was an inherent quality 🙂
