He hides beneath his black cloak A thief, corrupt in his actions Seeing only the glitter Shining bright Appealing, flashy Preying on innocence
He steals from the naive the needy and the oblivious Smelling their fear and insecurity Knowing when to strike Feeding on their vulnerability and without penitence
I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose.
