Resurgence

Resurgence

Emerging from
self-imposed imprisonment
A throne-less queen
walks naked and alone
vulnerable
remorseful
Eyes watching her
every movement

Her sparkle diminished
she wears the grey garb
of solitude and regret
Wishing now
for sunlight to
warm her coldness,
liven her spirit and
pump hope into her heart

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

      1. Thank you my friend. I have been working on my book which is almost ready. Perhaps you will review it for me one day ☺️
