Moody Sky

Moody Sky

Gone the dramatic
crimson sunrise
that brought birth
to the day

The lightness
of pursuing
powder puff clouds
taking breath away

Now a setting sun
shines brightness
on the pewter lake
in a twilight of silvery grey

A mood for every sky
The shimmering stillness
of serenity and calm
ends a perfect day

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

  1. love the way your poem winds and flows into the crevices of the heart. pewter lake resonates, the state I live in here is the place pewter originates.

    1. Thanks Gina 🙂 That is so interesting you mention that. I chose the word pewter because the water looks like it at sunset. I learned something today! 🙂💕
