One Night

One Night

Laying under the stars
Until the sun
broke the dawn
Tears gently brushed
away by soft lips
Promises made
without pause
Lovemaking with
kisses to remember
Character
never in question
A night to remember
Dreams to preserve
Memories to recall
And then,
you were gone
Forever

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

  1. Oh My Christine, I sooo love this!!! Wonderful in so many ways! So romantic and sensual!! Elegantly penned, My Dear! Sad ending, but that is life sometimes, isn’t it!! Fiction or autobiographical?
