Telling Lies – A Quadrille

Telling Lies

What lies she tells
that narcissistic witch
Stories too tall
for truth
Inflating her ego
Grabbing
needed attention
without which
she is nothing
My eavesdropping
confirms what
I already know
But the listeners
are too gullible
to understand
there is nothing there
to believe

A quadrille is a poem of exactly 44 words
excluding the title.

    1. As it should be Grace ☺️ I think most of us can tell when a person is lying which made my story so farcical.

    1. This was definitely not a description of Nancy Pelosi Lynn!! You are entitled to your opinion of course ☺️💕 Thanks for reading.

  1. Unfortunately I have worked with someone like this as well – your words immediately brought her to mind. I think the polite term for such a person is a ‘shit-stirrer!’

  2. So well described, Christine, I wanted to give her a piece of my mind! I’ve come across this kind of attention-grabber several times in my life. You can’t say anything to anyone, though, as they never believe you.
