I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose.
Thanks for checking it out.

Beautifully written, and so appropriate to someone who survived domestic violece.
You show words as connectors so beautifully. It may not be so easy to show them the door though. Whatever we love or hate intensely stays somewhere in the subconscious.
The sentiment of this piece is the exact reason why I started writing , It was the only way I could find to exorcise the emotional demons , people find catharsis in many ways writing was mine .

Amazing piece. Words once uttered, can never be taken back. We have to rein in our words and let them remain as thoughts in us.

Yes Andy. I remember that. Writing has helped many of us who share their work here. I hope you are doing well ☺️

But do they understand? Most times, I’ve found they are read but don’t land how we had hoped they would. Well-written, Christine! 🙂

Yes, that last line was wishful thinking 🤔. You’re right Susi, they don’t always land where we had hoped. 😐

Yes, it sometimes necessitates multiple readings. Or they just don’t have a soul!
