Moments Stolen

A mellow feeling
of contentment
Nourishing body
and spirit
Experienced
for no more than
fleeting seconds
before being
wildly dragged
from a euphoric state
Assaulted by
angry words
of dissension 
Vilifying the soul
Destroying harmony
in rage
because the moment
was not theirs
