Haiku

A sharp noise startles
Birds scattering on the wind
The dawn has broken

  1. This one calls to mind a darker image. I see a stark decaying home flat against the rising run. Hear the crack of gun fire. Birds flying from the trees in the yard. Everything is skeletal and done in shadows except for the sun. Which is a deep blood red. I love the images your words call to my mind 🙂

      1. You are going to get a lot of credit. The first one of the woman in the willows is written. The second with the child is percolating and the third is forming as we speak. I am saving these ones.
