I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose.
Thanks for checking it out.

I didn’t see that ending coming. Vivid imagery. Nicely done.
I too did not see the ending coming, and then it hit… Man, goes to show how burdening others can make us feel that when we finally let go, we feel our strength coming back. Sad how this can represent many relationships in life. Beautifully and poignantly written, Christine!
Yes indeed Lucy. I’ve seen it and experienced it more than once. I always wonder how successful couples reach that happy medium (groove) and manage to stay there 😳
Thanks so much for the lovely compliment ☺️❤️

Regaining your independence is what it’s all about. Some can do it, others can’t

Yes, this is true. It is not easy to achieve.

There’s power here in this realignment…..and independence much needed by the one….a falling away of the other’s influence.

Love that unexpected twist of the last line. Sadly, this is how it can go when we fall out of groove.
