Season Over – A Quadrille

Season Over

Hope for new beginnings
remains a debt unpaid by Spring.
Summer left it’s promissory note
for new growth and abundance
While Autumn failed to harvest
the wishes and dreams
left in barren, hardened earth
And when winter came
sadness fell as
love lay dying

  1. Christine I like how you used the seasons as a relationship measuring stick. Sometimes you just have to jump off of the carousel and try a new ride 😉

    1. Thanks Jan. Sometimes they do. If you are a farmer of any kind, it can certainly make or break you.
