Running Out Of Time – A Quadrille

Running Out Of Time

Minute by minute
and hour by hour
Twelve hours
and then twelve more
A day and then another
And so it goes
On and on
The never-ending
circle of hands on
the face of a clock
Time stopping for no man
Elusive and uncatchable

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

  1. It seems that as we get older time speeds up and we do seem to be running out of time. I used to enjoy the longs days of childhood and being bored for some of it – which apparently is good for you. You seem to have captured time in your quadrille, Christine.

  2. Never enough time and less and less as you get older to fit in all you want to do and a bottle of Jim Croce’s recipe would sure be nice…
