Unwritten

The decks are cleared
Everything is ship-shape
Necessary duties to complete
are mentally checked off
It feels good to clean house
and tie up loose ends
There is no schedule to follow
Just a feeling that these life chores
are necessary for
clearing a path and
making way
for whatever is coming next
I feel strong again
and ready to receive you
Yes, you
For you are the poetry
I am yet to write

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

  1. A girl after my own heart, Christine! I have to have the decks cleared and everything ship-shape in order to ‘feel strong again / and ready to receive…the poetry I am yet to write’.
