Lillian is hosting D’Verse Poets and has given us some sewing terms to inspire our poem. I have used several: Binding, Darning, Ease, Gather, Backstitch, Appliqué and Bias
I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose.
Thanks for checking it out.

This evokes sadness from me….a frayed relationship but one that is struggling for the individuals to move on. You do provide that hope in this line “Gives us the strength to move on”

I hope it is worth mending…. but if it is possible it may be stronger than ever.

Wow!! I so loved this, Christine!!! You killed it!!!
Especially, loved the last stanza!!
“Facing the obvious with no bias
Gives us the strength to move on
Before this affair bursts at the seam”

Poignant and beautifully written, Christine. The final stanza seems a mature recognition–strength to move on “without bias.”
