Morning Light

Morning Light

A shard of sunlight
pierced the grey sky
Soon silver light in the east
was threaded with gold
Drawing a sigh

That delicious moment
of nature’s morning light
passed quickly
as the day began
and stole the night

An island of reflection
seeing the rise and fall
of both sun and moon
A war for supremacy
behind the rainfall

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

    1. I really love writing about nature Gina. It seems to come naturally. Thank you so much for your lovely comment 🙂💕
