The Break of Day

The Break of Day

Caught by the morning sun
Spanish moss
Is dipped in spun gold
and hanging
from ancient oaks
The gentle flapping
of duck wings
shaking off water
Fleeting shadows
of leaves
carried by the wind
Whispering words
echoing in your mind
as the day begins
Gently and sensuously
with its sights and sounds

    1. Thanks Lucy. I was driving down a road the other day, early in the morning and sun literally caught the hanging moss and it looked like it had been dipped in gold. It was beautiful. I have also been listening the the duck wings flapping as we have a flock of snowbird ducks on the lake. So many…must be hundreds ☺️💕

    1. Oh thank you Sanaa. Just a simple poem of what we find in nature. Those special moments that make you stop and appreciate it. ☺️💕
