I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose.
Thanks for checking it out.

Jammed highways, unfriendly and sometimes dangerous byways ….. nice write!!
David, I just found several of your comments in my Spam box 😦 I apologize for the delay in responding. Thanks for your remarks. Yes, indeed, way too high!
Wow Christine!!! This is so Awesome!! Very wise and insightful. Sad so many think there is only One Way!! Seems religion is the biggest cause of division and a lack of unity and peace in the world. Seems weird that religion would be the cause of something other than Peace and Love?? Bellissimo, Dear!

Christine, as John sang out – “pretend there is no heaven, and no religion too”… I heard that to mean live a good life while we are here, present in the moment, and quit looking beyond and choosing “groups” by which to segregaKte ourselves from each other. We have no idea what is ahead, if anything — but we certainly know we are here mow, AND that this world and needs love, as do we all — so just let yourself love and be loved – JMHO
I’ve always loved shape poems. Interesting the shape here takes the readers downward….one would think the blessed, the humble religious souls would help to take people upward. 🙂 Perhaps that’s why the last line is what it is.
Thanks Lillian ☺️ The shape was accidental. I noticed it when I centered the text and then just let it be. It did kind of go with text – downward! 🤣 LOL
There was a line in the movie “Conan the Barbarian” that struck home with me when Conan asks Subotai “What Gods do you pray to?” just sitting around the fire, casual conversation, ahhh if only the world could be more like the movies. 😉
That’s funny! I really don’t like anyone proselytizing either. Everyone knows the way, just let us get their in peace, thank you! 🙂 Hope you have a nice evening.

I love your poem! Seems everyone has their wears to sell for a price! If Grace is free why should it cost so much to buy in!!

Thanks Lisa. I respect all the “highways and byways”, just don’t always understand some of them. ☺️

insert clapping hands Well done, thought provoking piece. So many different Ways. Just because my path is different doesn’t mean I’m lost. 🙂

You know I don’t even ask people what religion they practice because, sure enough, they will tell me anyway! Have you ever noticed that? 😦

Oh My yes! I usually listen politely, thank them for their thoughts, escape relatively unscathed. Then I run home and grab my smudging stick 😉
