I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose.
Thanks for checking it out.

Christine, this is extraordinary. It is moving, sad, filled with despair and then finally, acceptance. Beautiful! 😊
Acceptance and grief of it are impenetrable walls at times like the one you describe here. It’s just so hard to be open & loving when everything is rending. Whether the circumstances are personal or collective (or both), But what else are we going to do? Despair is such a terrible option and we cannot carry it indefinitely. So here’s to whatever gets you through the night.
Thanks Brendan. I appreciate your kind words. I always write my way through life’s challenges. It doesn’t always solve the problem but it calms me down to be able to put things in perspective. 😑☺️
I felt this one very deeply. Especially when you say: “Still I have to do something
Isn’t that what I am supposed to do?
Take the blame
and repair the wreckage
Isn’t that what I always do?”
Sadly this is what many of us do. We, as women, are the healers and have a deep need to make everything right. Even if it is to our detriment 😢 Thank you for reading and commenting. Sending you love for your journey ☺️💕

A raw and painful poem, Christine! But acceptance often leads to healing, as many of us know so well 🙂
