It stings, cuts, snipes and slashes Pounds the brain Twisting stomachs In an intricate macramé of knotted concern Takes breath from bodies Blinds eyes Bruises souls It expands the heart And it also breaks it
I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose.
Thanks for checking it out.

You got me with your twist, Christine. Cannot argue with it either. Great use of the cactus to set the tone 🙂
Christine, you are so right. I have been listening to a pastor preach a series on Love is a struggle, and you both are correct. I am healing from back surgery, the most painful thing I have endured. If it wasn’t for the love of my Douglas, I couldn’t make it. Sometimes love ask a lot of us, and I thank God that He gave me a man whose love is an action word. I look forward to your posts every morning when you spread love around the world.
Thank you dear Regina. I do hope you feel better soon. I can’t imagine the excruciating pain you’ve had from back surgery. Thinking of you my friend and wishing you well. ☺️❤️

Love this rough-and-tough love. Seems like the sort of one tool fixes all sort of thing I need.
