After the Love Has Gone

After the Love Has Gone

After the love has gone
and the hierarchy shifts
There is always a winner
and of course, a loser
and the taking back of gifts

Who will be my advocate
in this frazzled, ugly mess
Serenity long gone
just hurt and anger remain
and you couldn’t care less

I have been writing poetry since I was a child and it has helped in the good times and bad times. I am always looking within to find the answers to life's problems and to write thought-provoking poetry and prose. Thanks for checking it out. Christine

    1. Aww thanks Jim. I was inspired by the song. I missed song lyric Sunday yesterday 😕 Sorry. I’ll be back next week 👍

    1. Thanks Andy. I knew you’d understand. Loved that black heart! I’ll have to use it occasionally 😊👍
