This was a big comeback song for Elvis, who hadn’t had a US #1 hit since “Good Luck Charm” in 1962.
Elvis recorded “Suspicious Minds” from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. in the morning on September 23, 1969 reclaiming his title of “The King.”
