Song Lyrics I Got The Music In Me - Kiki Dee
Ain't got no troubles in my life No foolish dream to make me cry. I'm never frightened or worried, I know I'll always get by. I heat up (I heat up) I cool down (I cool down) When something gets in my way I go round it. Don't let life get me down Gonna take life the way that I found it.
CHORUS I got the music in me I got the music in me I got the music in me I got the music in me I got the music in me I got the music in me
They say that life is a circle (circle) But that ain't the way that I've found it. Gonna move in a straight line (ooh) Keeping my feet firmly on the ground. I heat up (I heat up) I cool down (I cool down) I got words in my head so I say them. Don't let life get me down, Catch a hold of my blues and just play them.
CHORUS
Feel funky Feel good Gonna tell ya I'm in the neighbourhood Gonna fly like a bird on the wing Hold on to your hat honey, Sing, sing, sing, sing Heat up, cool down (cool down) I got words in my head so I say them Don't let life get me down (Don't let it get ya down) Catch a hold of my blues and just play them.
CHORUS x2
Ain't got no trouble in my life, No foolish dream to make me cry. I'm never frightened I'm never worried, I know, I know I'll always get by.
I got the music Pretty music I got the music In me
Don't let it get ya down Don't let it get ya down Don't let it get you down Don't let it get ya down Don't let it get ya down Don't let it get you down Ha, ha, ha, ha
CHORUS
Don't let it get ya down Don't let it get ya down Don't let it get you down
I got the music in me I got the music in me I got the music in me Don't let it get ya down Don't let it get ya down Don't let it get you down

The scent of orange blossoms filling the air The trees’ bloated fruit already dropping to the ground The beginning meets the end of the circle and Nature’s beauty is crowned
The bald eagle sits high atop the pine Surveying the landscape for his prey Butterflies fluttering Searching for the sweet nectar Lizards scampering away
A tropical paradise thriving on sunshine Rain an infrequent visitor at this time of year Exotic birds, colorful, Long legged and awkward with no apparent fear
An alligator basking on the bank of the lake A roseate spoonbill at his side Neither caring about the other In harmony they bide

This week’s One Liner Wednesday prompt from Linda G. Hill made a reference as to why we even bother to get dressed somedays. This old Gary Larson cartoon lets us know why!
She followed the circled path in the Healing Garden as it was so called Her desire for silence to let go of fears she noticed it was walled
The bougainvillea spilled over with its deep pink blossoms A sight for tired eyes Fragrant jasmine intertwined with tree foliage as if dropping from the skies
Resting on the white bench She drew peaceful energy from the surroundings Her need for serenity almost complete and no longer compounding
The stillness of the moment Brought clarity to jumbled thoughts Her journey now obstacle free Meditation and solidarity Simple solutions for troubled minds and no more need to flee
